Question

Computer restarting after Intel logo screen

Apr 22, 2015 12:23AM PDT

After pressing power button, my desktop computer is restarting after the very first screen that appears intel's logo "Intel desktop board inside".
Usually i see this screen only around 2-3 seconds. But now it appears around 20-25 seconds. After that it restarts automatically.

Can anyone please help me on this?<div>
My desktop computer configuration:
64bit, i5 4th Gen processor, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD

That's a BIOS or hardware issue.

If you can't enter the BIOS setup to set it to defaults, find a repair shop. A new motherboard could be the solution.

That's not enough for a diagnosis.

Could be bios, motherboard or just a blown OS on the HDD to some USB device interfering and some other dozen items. Try unplugging all external things, still down? Unplug the HDD and see if you can get to the BIOS.

Do you mean that it is cycling? Continually starting, stopping and restarting after powering up? And you cannot access safe mode/settings by tapping the f-8 key prior to splash screen? If this is the case, then take Kee's advice, it is shop time. IF, however, you CAN access safe mode...that is a different story...could be malware..etc.
