computer resolution on 40" LED

I play a lot of world of warcraft, so this is my main problem.

I recently built a new computer. 2 nvidia video cards with HDMI outputs. I also have a 40" Insignia LED flat screen TV. My problem is my computer projects a resolution that's just slightly to big on all sides. It cuts off about maybe a centimeter of picture on each side and top and bottom. I change the resolution on my desktop to the same resolution as my tv, and it makes it slightly too small.

There's multiple new resolution settings on Warcraft now with my new pc, and some of them are the same resolution as my tv, yet no matter what I change it to, it still won't fit the screen. Has anyone else had this problem or know how I can fix it? I've got raiding to do and can't have half my action bars cut off Happy

And it sometimes can be fixed. HOWEVER I'm not there and can't see all the possible settings on the TV or video cards. And this does not mean it can be fixed.

You might have to settle for VGA connections too.

Bottom line? Explore not only the PC settings but the TV. And if you can't get it to work consider returning the set.

Just kidding.

To help others help you, if you can find the manual to the tv on the web, add that to your first post. Samsung has an option from memory called full screen. Other sets may have that.
