Question

Computer randomly turning itself on

Apr 2, 2018 12:09PM PDT

I went into the windows command prompt, and search for my last wake. the reason is "Windows will execute NT TASK\Microsoft\windows\media center\mcupdate_scheduled Scheduled task that requested waking the computer." Is there a way I can turn this off? My computer has been randomly turning on ever sense I built it and no other forums have been able to help me.

You can change it in Task Scheduler. For example, run it weekly in stead of daily and uncheck the box that says it's allowed to wake up the computer.

Eveything is already set not to wake the computer to complete the task.
