We usually try some USB WiFi adapter. If you want to try something, try the driver from Asus for your machine. But that age and troubles can point to aging WiFi which can be a card but we rarely replace them due to cost. Just try the USB WiFi and see what happens.
Hi!
So I've got a rather specific question that has been plaguing me for years. My computer, from about 2014, is an Asus running Intel core i5 with 6GB ram and Windows 10 . It seems like when my computer connects to more public wifi, like a college network or a library wifi, it tends to, after a certain period of time, suddenly not find internet connection with whatever it's connected to, and if I try to disconnect and reconnect to the wifi, suddenly my computer says it can't connect to any of the wifi. To get any connection, I need to restart my computer. It tends to only do this on these sort of networks and usually works fine at home (altho not as much lately). When I've talked to IT people at university, they've just told me to make sure my computer's registered in their network, which helps, but ultimately doesn't solve the problem.
Does anyone have any recommendations on what I can do to solve, or even just understand what's going on and doesn't think I'm crazy?
