Resolved Question

Computer randomly half shutting down?

Jul 25, 2016 4:59PM PDT

I recently finished building my first computer and everything had been going swimmingly until today. My PC twice has randomly had the screen turn off with all connected devices turning off while the computer's on LED light stays on and the fans inside the PC are still running.

I ran a window's memory diagnostic which came up with nothing and the PC's temperature has been very cool according to speed fan going at highest 40-50 degrees Celsius so I doubt it is overheating.

Any ideas to what is going wrong?
System specs:
Processor: AMD Athlon X4 860k
GPU: AMD R7 360
PSU: Rosewill 400W
Motherboard: GIGABYTE F2A68HM-H

Here is the recent error logs from today:

Fixed Problem
Jul 30, 2016 11:20PM PDT

OK so I fixed this problem, turned out my GPU wasn't getting enough power due to my molex to PCIe adapter having a freaking wire sticking out of the socket, I re-plugged it in and my computer ran fine, I also upgraded to a EVGA 500w PSU so I don't have to worry about the adapter messing up again.

Answer
Let's do some quick checks.
Jul 25, 2016 5:10PM PDT

GPU 100 Watt TDP.
CPU 95W TDP
Motherboard 40W TDP

PSU is SPLIT RAIL so let's use the 12V @ 13 Amperes or 156 Watts.

I'd make noise to your PC designer about the PSU. Looks like it can be easily overloaded.
