Toshiba Tecra 500cdt,Windows98,Brand new US Robotics Card bus10/100 ethernet pc card. CD drive works fine.I can get the PC card cd to start it just doesn't install the drive for the card because the card isn't identified.In the control panel,I click on the pc card icon and it doesn't show any card installed even when the card is plugged in.It seems when I click system/device manager/network adapters it should show my card.but it only shows dial-up adapter which I am using.Nothing else,so my card isn't being identified.The person I purchased the laptop from assured the card I bought was right and the card socket was fine.Something between the card socket and the new hardware wizard isn't reading something.Maybe a drive,I don't know?CONFUSED AND ILLITERATE-HELP!!!!
