Since it's on standby 24 hours, 7 days a week, why not turn it off?
let me ask in different way it it okay to leave the pc on 247 as long its standby mode or hibernation..
That one is pretty neat and it's OFF for all the machines I know and drawing the least amount of power.
It still begs the question "Why not unplug it and save the Watt or more it draws when off?"
Also you get the benefit that lightning strikes on power lines can't get to it.

When it's in hibernation, it's off. But it restarts faster than when it's shutdown (shutdown is off also).
Standby is half-off. Use you power meter to see the effect on your electricity bill. When I did, it saved 20% on the normal use.
On is on.
All are OK. Why shouldn't they? But leaving it standby during the night doesn't make much sense.
