Computer not turning on please help.

Mar 4, 2018 7:41AM PST

Hi, I have 2 computers with the same charging port. After I've lost computer 2's charger, I've been using the same charger to charge both computer 1 and computer 2 for years now without any issue.
The charger came with Computer 1 when I purchased it. Recently, I used the charger to charge computer 2. When I plugged it back to computer 1, it wasn't working. I checked the charger with computer 2, it worked. Computer 1 has an Hdmi output, when I plugged back the charger to computer 1 to check, it also worked. However Computer 1 is still not turning on.

- What has the HDMI output to do with the problem?
- What do you mean with "ït also worked"? What worked?
- How can something work if the computer is not turning on?

A somewhat clearer problem description, please.

I'm sorry for the delay of response.
There's an HDMI output on the computer (It's a all in one desktop computer).
When you plug the charger in I just pressed the button to switch to the HDMI output and it was showing the display from the device I used to test it.
There're 2 buttons on the side of the computer, one to turn the computer on and the other to switch to the HDMI output.

Also when I try pressing the power button to turn the computer on, nothing happens as if it was unplugged or dead.
I don't know what caused the issue or how to solve it.

What is it?

I can't find the make, model of the PCs in question but as it stands one of them is dead.

Without make, model, age I can't give you a start on what to try for free. If you don't want to try free or easy ideas which may or may not work, then you take it to the shop or call the maker for repair.

Sorry if this slights you but recently I notice folk upset when I ask them to try something and it doesn't work.
