Question

Computer not doing anything during bios update

I downloaded the cpuid monitor to check out temperatures and everything and noticed that my cpu cores were staying at 1.2ghz instead of 3.6ghz After doing some reasearch i noticed someone else has had the same problem and once they solved it they said they updated their bios and it fixed the problem. I then went to the msi website found my motherboard and went to where it had a download for the bios update. I put the file onto a flash drive like it said and ran the program. It then said that itd restart a few times during the process and i hit ok and then something else came up with a bar that started to fill up and then the screen went black. Ive been waiting for about an nd it hasnt restarted and my monitors have been black/no signal for the whole time. Not sure if i/what i messed up and if theres any way to fix it.

Corrupt updates

The rash of corrupted downloaded OS updates has also affected BIOS updates too. BIOS is very critical and in my opinion shouldn't be messed with for just this possiblity. Getting the mfgr to take a return may be the fastest way to cure the fault.
