Question

Computer monitor goes "No Signal" with certain games

Hi guys! My computer isn't the best, and I'm well aware of that- I'm upgrading it over time. However, I'll be playing a game that my computer has ran just fine before in the past, and BAM! no signal. I can still hear everything , and my friend will tell me I'm still connected to the server and everything. My monitor just stops responding. I'll use league of legends as my prime example.
I'll start up league , and everything works fine. I can generally go a couple of games, or even some days , with no issues whatsoever. However, in some cases, I will start up the game, load into the match, and suddenly my computer just craps on me. No signal. Trying to Ctrl-Alt-Delete, alt tab, or any other form of escaping fullscreen doesn't work. Unplugging and Replugging the cable to my monitor doesn't work. Please help .-.

Processor: AMD 9600 Phenom Quad Core Processor 2.31GHz
Ram: 4.0
Running a 64-bit processor with a 64-bit based operating system
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX970

as a side note: I seem to be having an issue finding the right resolution. Everything on my computer on my pc is just ever so slightly a little staticy/chunky/low res, if that makes sense Thanks!

Some games need you to set them up.

As you noted LoL here's a google on that.

https://www.google.com/search?q=lol+set+resolution seems to find the priors on how to change resolution without getting into the game.

Soapbox. The Windows PC isn't there yet or "it just works." We still have to twiddle and google our way along. Is this a problem? Some thing so.
