Use of a UPS
by mjd420nova / May 11, 2008 8:26 AM PDT

Using a UPS for your computer will not only provide some backup powere in the case of and outage but will also isolate the unit from creating interference that can get back into the power system of the home. As already stated, older homes without grounded outlets are sibject to getting ground loops that can create interference not only to TV's but stereo equipment too.
