Question

Computer locks up after closing firefox 10.0.2

Mar 1, 2012 5:56AM PST

Newbie here.

When I close Mozilla Firefox, my computer locks up (except for the mouse). Any icon I click on including start will not respond. Not even an hourglass.

It is basically as if my desktop was a picture I just move my mouse over.

I can reboot, and this will fix the problem until I close Firefox again. Then the problem repeats.

I don't even know if i'm on the right forum to get a tech to answer.

I'm lost and really need help...

what OS are you using?
did it happen recently?
how many browsers you have?
does it happen to other browsers like IE of Chrome?

try to uninstall and reinstall firefox. or use another browser instead, like chrome for instance.

scan you PC with your antivirus or you can use Superantispyware free edition too just to check if there malicious software on your PC.

hope i helped.. : )
