1. get a new hdd and clone old>new.
2. if you have not already done so create the factory restore media.
3. use the restore media, if that fails swap in the new hdd.
So last week I accidentally dropped my laptop. At first sight there wasn't anything wrong but then my screen freezed. I shut down my computer with the button and after that it all started.
-my laptop boots very slow
-once booted the computer is still slow
-my hard drive produces sounds that are not normal(I can however access all my files)
- when I tried to reset to a recovery point it did say that on the day that it happened a "windows visual C++" was deleted
-I tried to restore Windows10 but that got to 30% and it just stopped again
-If I scan Windows with sfc it says that everything is fine
I don't know if there is anything wrong with my hdd or my windows.
Thanks in advance
