Some infection, an expired antivirus, the owner used an driver finder app, or accepted a driver from Microsoft.
Since it's SUDDEN you should try System Restore first. Again, this is all about the OS files so with that out of the way, why not create a backup of what you can't lose? Shops reload the machine since troubleshooting costs more than a new laptop!

Ok I'm using a laptop that I have been using for 3 years without any problems... All the sudden the internet is not working I clicked trouble shoot and it said :Local Area Connection is not working and said to plug an Ethernet cable in it I've plugged an Ethernet cable into my computer and it works fine on the internet my wireless connection is good and I've tried disabling local connection can any body help me before I bring the computer to the shop? Btw I am all my other computers are working on internet
