Hello,

If you can't connect a computer or device, reboot it. This step sounds simple, but your router, your PC's Wi-Fi adapter, or your operating system may have a software or firmware problem that a simple reboot would fix. If some or all of your devices refuse to connect, try unplugging the router for 5 to 10 seconds and then plugging it back in. This technique of "power cycling" your router is a tried-and-true method for restoring a previously functional wireless network to good working order.

Hope this will help your concern.
Have a nice day!

They way you connect to the internet via wireless and via ethernet are different. Som if you can't connect with via ehternet and you used to be able to the cable is the problem. If you never connected it could be the ethernet card or ethernet card drivers. I imagine you are using a router since you able to connect wirelessly on phone.

So I would try everything. I would connect the ethernet cable to the modem directly.(Thats is if you modem and router are separate). Typicallt when you plug an Ethernet cable to a ethernet port a light will turn on on the card (and will be green) . If light doesn't come on it's cable or ethernet card. Only way to test card versus cable is to test another cable.
