computer has gone funny

my computer was working up unitl 2 days ago- then something ***** started happening. My inteet connection was, all of a sudden, slow and everytim i clicked on links they directed me to these weird pages (like www.hotwebfinder.com ) where they would give some other links. Also whenever I switched off my computer and switched it back on again it would come up to the black screen with white writing and say that a problem occurred and give me options to start my computer using safe mode, normally or back to the last working confgurations. Can someone please help me fix my computer, i think its got something to do with the internet.

I have found several also so go to that link with your list they will help you remove what is on there that shouldn't be. I had this happen with a few friends computers and now I have them running spybotSD with tea timer it not only does not allow the browser to be hijacked which is what has happened here but notifies you if any registry changes are being attempted. If you run spybot in advanced mode you can stop any unnecessary program from running at startup (under tools system startup) that can often be helpful. Good luck
