Question

Computer graphics card

so, more recently i have bought a GTX 1060 graphics card to replace my old 660. And now, ill install the new card and after a few days, the card will just die.. This has happened twice now. I dont know what could be causing the issue because the 660 works perfectly, it seems that the problem is the 1060.. Does anyone got any suggestions

PSU size or age?
Case. Is this some micro case?
Drivers? Did you try DDU to get a fresh run at the 1060 drivers?

PSU size is a 460W. Age IDK because my uncle built the PC and didn't tell me the age of it. Case is not a micro case, its actually a bit big for whats needed. and I did not try DDU, in fact i haven't heard of it since you brung it up.

OK, if that's a single rail I'll give it grudging pass. Let's see the full make, model, or web link about this PSU. A split rail could be low on Amperes and cause a low input voltage to the card, which in turn can lead to early deaths.

As to DDU, it's just something I do so I'm sure I have a clean setup and nothing strange going on with display drivers.

I would not keep that PSU.

The 16A rails is why. I can't answer if this is the cause of the troubles, but it's something I would not keep. Might be useful on a simple PC without GPU card.
