Open the Control Panel, then "Internet Options", then select the "Advanced" tab. Once there, click on the "Reset" button and select OK/Yes, when it asks "Are your sure?".
Resetting Internet Explorer will eliminate some of the various add-ons that may have attached itself over time. If you visit a website later, that needs one of those add-ons, you can choose to allow or disallow it.
Hope this helps.
I use IE and am running windows 8.1. It seems there is something in my system that is causing freezes, especially when using yahoo.
It may freeze at startup or while I am on a page or trying to move to another site. To get back I have to restart.
I might add that I can use google chrome or Mozilla and have no problems with freezes. I deleted a lot of favorites that helped some, but did not solve my problem. I am using avg, ccleaner.
which I run often.
Any advice or help appreciated
