Freezing could be down to various things such as:
The hard drive may need defragmenting
Registry could contain unused regsirty entries.
Your comouter could have a virus infection
You ram could becoming low and you might need to upgrade your ram.
Defragmenting the hard drive:
There is a defragmenter built into Windows, go to my computer right click on the hard drive, click properties, go to the tools tab and click defragment. Note* this can take a while to complete. such as 1-3 hours depending.
The regisrty could contain unused enteries:
To remove unused enteries you could use a program called ccleaner google ccleaner.
Your Computer could have a virus infection:
If your computer is slow it May be down to a virus to make sure your computer has no viruses use a program called 'malware bytes anti-malware' google it if your intersted in the software.
Ram could becoming low:
After years your computer ram becomes low and your computer becomes slow. If your intersted in upgrading Ram google crucial this website recommendeds ram suited for your computer and lists how much it costs.
