In the past that has us look for BAD CAPS (google that for pictures and story) but today it can mean this or a poorly sized or aging power supply.
The story is here but can't find any detail about the PC other than the story. The story does not tell us much unless it's to confirm it needs repair.
So my computer has been acting strange the last couple weeks. Itll freeze randomly and if I have any audio playing it will also freeze the audio and itll sound super weird.
Sometimes it happens after hours of use and sometimes it happens a couple minutes after restart.
I have not tried a system restore (mainly because the last one is a few months old), it seemed to happen more frequently when I had an external hard drive plugged in, and it did stop for a day or so. But the problem has come back. I have no idea what could be causing the issue to happen as it just triggers whenever it wants too (apparently). Ive done several virus scans and it hasnt turned up anything.
I read somewhere it could be a faulty video card, etc. Im not entirely sure though.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Edit: Something I remembered after this post. Sometimes when I start up the computer it won’t boot and I’ll have to restart several times to get it working. And then other times it’ll show a black screen with a white underscore flashing in the top left.
