computer doesn't shart down

by thehedgehog / May 13, 2016 9:21 AM PDT

Hi, I wondered if anyone could help?
My computer doesn't shut down properly, and has been like this for a while. When I shut down it goes through the motions, the screen goes black, but when I go to start up again in the morning (unless I pull the plug) it's still on. Then it won't start. The button is orange - so I have to unplug and start up. It hasn't alwasys been like this, just the last month or so.

Hi, I am using Windows 10. The machine is a Dell Vostro..

Also, instead of going into sleep mode when I'm away from the computer it does the same thing where it switches off completely, but sounds like it's on and won't let me start by moving the mouse or touching a key - I have to unplug and start again.
