Question

Computer Crashing (No BSOD)

Feb 13, 2015 11:17PM PST

Every time I attempt transcoding a video in Adobe Encore, my computer just turns off. I've been monitoring my CPU usage and have noticed the physical core 2 (core 3&4) overheat prior to the crash. I have dusted the inside of the computer and opened the case where the main fan is.

If this is indeed the problem, what should I do to fix this issue?

What are other possible errors are there that I should look for?

I have a HP TouchSmart 610, Intel i& - 2400

That is, canned air and new thermal paste all round.
