...what happens if your reset the repeater? Or, if you connect directly to the router upstairs, does that correct the issue too?
Also, because it sounds like you're using an ethernet cable directly from your computer to the repeater, if this is a Windows 10 computer, have you tried visiting the computer manufacturer, or the ethernet adapter manufacturer's website and downloading, then installing an updated ethernet driver for your computer? If not, please do.
Let us know.
Hope this helps.

Hello, I'm new here, but I'm guessing this is the right 'place to post this.
So, long story short, had a bad ISP, who would had outtages every 2 weeks or so in the worst possible moments, so I quit, got a new one.
New ISP, computer connected to a WiFi repeater that boosts the WiFi from the router to my PC which then makes it go through cable since I don't have a Wifi adapter, now, I think this is how it's setup, because the router is set on my aunts house (floor above) so cables are not a good solution, anyways... The older ISP used to work fine(besides the constant outtages every 2 weeks or so), and this also does, when I'm on my phone, or my aunt is using it, she says it's better than the old one, But when I'm on this PC, this is what happens:
Connected to the network, all the times, if I go to network settings, or simply the see in the windows bar thing on the down right, it says connected at ALL TIMES, so it's not like it's not getting a signal, but every 10 minutes or so, for a period of 5 minutes, it will stop working (still connected to the wifi as I said), nothing will work, no Chrome, no IE, no other apps that need Internet, worst, it makes some of those programs crash like spotify, or a little game I play from time to time.
I've disabled Avast (which I'm soon to change to AVG), I've restarded the router, the PC obviously too, ran Avast to check for some weird *** virus, ya.. Any tips? I'm just thinking I need to reconfigure the repeater thingy...
If you need any more details tell me.. I'll be glad to provide as long as I get rid of this...
