I've tried such and all of them never found it all.

Let's try this another way. What do you need to remove or fix?

This is an older site that has a lot of good, clear instructions for getting rid of unnecessary junk.

Some of it is outdated so far as XP is concerned; not sure about ME. However, most of it is very usable.

Best, it's free and written by a lady in clear, easy to follow instructions! No Techno geek required.

Several things to do
Feb 5, 2005 2:49AM PST

Mispie, First, I have ME also so I know these things work. In the 'Newbies' forum, find Grifs' 'tips', it is the thread with over 200 posts. Go thru the thread until you find 'How to clean unwanted files from the Hard Drive'. Read his initial post. It is a little long and seems like a lot of work. Now the good news, there is a freeware program 'EasyClean 2.0' that does all of this and more. Stay away from 'duplicates' until you know way more. Then do Scandisk. Then get another freeware program 'Diskeeper Lite', (they actually write the defrag that comes with XP, because Microsoft finally realized they could not do as well), and defrag your hard drive. Several notes, do all this with your internet connection off, your anti-virus off, and any spyware off. Also the first time I ran Easyclean I thought I was going to blow up my Recycle Bin. You may want to empty it as you go. Good luck.
