I traced it back to the power supply. To power up I must remove the AC cord for a 10 count, put the cord in and it boots. Since it works, I'm waiting for a replacement supply from shipping.
Try that.

Hello,
Just built a computer wtih a ASRock v788 board, 512 dual channel ddr mem, a Viper case (500 watt power suppy), pentinum 4 3.2 gig w/prescott..
i had everything hooked up on the board right, it booted up worked fine for one night, then poof, next morn'n won't boot, won't power on.
I hit the power and it would flicker on..then back off before even reaching the bios or anything. I am completly stumped. I tried Switching the power and reset button connections on the front panal layout, I tried taking everything out, even if it's just the board connected, still no power up. I doubt it's the processor, It has an uber big heat sinkn, and plenty of fans to keep it cooled,
so HELP!!
