Question

computer beeps every day

Apr 22, 2018 5:51AM PDT

About a month ago my HP laptop started beeping for 2 minutes every day at noon. No message pops up. Alarms & Clocks app was not set but I uninstalled it anyway, also ran Malwarebytes and CCleaner registry fix. Haven't recently installed any new programs or downloaded anything that looked suspicious that I'm aware of. Please help.

Answer
Did you check the scheduled events?

https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/windows-10-task-scheduler-gives-power/ shows how to open this to check out if something is there. However these entries are not the same on all PCs so you must know your PC to see if it's something extra. The fact it's at a specific time will help here.

Some PCs beep when close to overheating. I don't think that's it unless you know that at noon you place your laptop on a towel or soft surface that blocks vents. Just want to cover another cause we run into.

Thanks for responding. I checked and don't have any tasks scheduled for that time in my task scheduler.

Then a deeper look.

Go get AUTORUNS from Microsoft (see google) and it will take time to research all the entries there.

You could see what's running in Task Manager at the time to narrow it down but as this is not something along the usual problems, you have to do the search and research.
