It's from over a decade ago and is not current technology and would strain the average user to make it function. I flatly propose that it's best forgotten about.
Besides, it doesn't support CDRW/DVDRW drives.
Look for a better solution like Acronis and others.
I'm wondering about computer backups. I have a HP desktop running Windows XP HE. I've installed the backup option from the XP cd and made a System State Backup.
I'm concerned about how reliable any backup is that is done in Windows. It seems to me if Windows is open, then certain files will be open and NOT backed up. Norton Ghost 9.0 says it can make an image without leaving Windows. Has anyone tried making the image then trying to RESTORE it? If so, were all files restored without any problem?
I've read about Powerquest Drive Image, but Symantec purchased Powerquest. I had an older computer that I used PDI; when I made the backup the computer rebooted to DOS and made the backup. If I needed to restore the backup, that was a snap, no files missing.
Thanks for your input.
