Question

Computer audio not working - Updated from 8.1 windows to 10

Oct 24, 2018 5:49AM PDT

As title says, I have tried ABSOLUTELY nearly everything, I have full reset my computer, uninstalled, reinstalled ALL drivers of my computer, my audio , my motherboard, you name it I feel like I have tried it.

I plug my speakers in and it just does not recognise anything, I would really like to get this fixed, any help would be awesome
Right now I just have a red X "no speakers or headphones are plugged in" when they are,
Please help.

Answer
Some Have Fixed This By Updating the BIOS...

Occasionally, even the correct sound drivers aren't the cure. Try visiting the computer manufacturer or the motherboard manufacturer's website and download/install the latest BIOS update for your motherboard. And that means EVEN IF the BIOS version is the same one as you already have installed. One computer here was fixed after a re-flash of the BIOS that was already on the computer.

And once the new BIOS is installed, restart the computer, access the BIOS settings and make sure the audio controller is enabled.

Hope this helps.
