Question

Computer acting weird

Sep 12, 2017 4:54PM PDT

My computer is doing weird things. I just recently installed a new hard drive and a new windows 10. I think its 64 bit but only registers as 32. My computer sometimes when ibturn it on goes to the log in screen and from there to just black. When I restart it works fine and goes to my desk top. When I'm in my computer I have noticed that if I close a program and try to restart the program it will not start. If I click on the program again it says its already running despite task manager not registering it in its menu. I also have a program called discord which is a program like ventrillo or team speak 3. I in installed it and reinstalled it using system mechanic pro and I still have the same issue with the program which is it just stops working after a while. I used system mechanic pro to clean up my computer and it runs better. Web sites I have gone to are world of tank and warships, steam, Netflix, and YouTube and thats it. Sorry if this sounds scattered but any ideas?

Clarification Request
Actually sounds right for a fresh W10 install.

When you install W10 you have to get the 32 or 64 bit version so that's up to you to reinstall if you picked the wrong version.

As to the other issues, after you install Windows, there are a number of drivers to install which varies with the make and model of the PC>

So in reality, all you wrote sounds OK for a new, incomplete install. As to system mechanic I have nothing nice to write there.

Answer
Definitely OS issue

I would agree with the below comment. I think you need to get the right version of Windows 10 installed. This should alleviate most if not all of your issues. Also it seems like your programs are getting stuck running in memory. I also think this will be resolved once you install the correct veriosn of Windows 10.

Hope that helps.
