Compuserve Problem

by EdH / January 20, 2006 12:20 AM PST

My brothert is on Compuserve. He has an older Sony VIAO laptop and his problem is that teh browser window will not maximize to fill the scree (don't ask me why). He says it has a two inch wide blank area on the right side of the window. He says there are no x or - controls and he can't drag it out manually. F11 does nothing.

He says it works fine on his desktop computer.

I've told him to reinstall or use another browser, but I was wondering if anyone had a better solution. I know nothing about Compuserve.

Thanks.

The CompuServe browser
by PudgyOne / January 20, 2006 7:32 AM PST

The CompuServe browser is like using Internet Explorer. It can be used for updates. It might be more like Netscape since AOL owns all these.

Tell him to set his settings at 800 x 600 pixels. It will give him a fuller screen. There is less space viewed that way.

Hope this helps.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
