Component connection for Toshiba 37RV530U 1080P

May 29, 2008 3:48PM PDT

Bought this new tv. I am not getting a picture (says no video signal) either on the HD1 or HD2 connections(both component). Audio works.
Tried two diff cable sets. Anyone know a reason why? Both can't be defective. Is there such a thing as compatibility issues as there is with HDMI cable versions? The component feeds come from my Explorer 4200 cable box. It worked fine with my previous 720P LCD TV. The HMI links work fine. Only reason I want the component input instead of the HDMI is that the HDMI is fed from the DVI on the cable box, so external audio for the TV HDMI input on this TV is only analog.
Thanks.
