I have a Logitech cordless joystick Freedom 2.4, and it works fine with my XP pc. I would like to purchase a notebook with Vista OS, but I have heard lots of compitability problem with Vista, Is this could be one of them?

Logitech has recently released updated software and drivers for the Freedom 2.4 Cordless Joystick, making it compatible with Vista. Instead of installing the software that came on the included CD, click here to download and install the latest version and everything should go smoothly.
