Question

Compatibility

by Bob_Russell / October 21, 2015 10:55 AM PDT

My PC is a Lenovo ideacentre model B540P and was originally supplied with Windows 8, and I’ve since successfully upgraded it to Windows 8.1.
My PC came with “Lenovo Rescue System” which I have used to back-up my system from time to time, now that I have upgraded it to Windows 10 the Lenovo Rescue System no longer works. When I try to run the rescue system I get the following message “This app has been blocked for your protection” this appears to be a Windows 10 related problem.
If I run the “Program Compatibility Troubleshooter” the answer comes back “Incompatible Program”. Can anyone help please?

Answer
Lenovo wrote "uninstall" that prior to 10.

https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/ht103615 for example. Ask Lenovo if they have a new version out. Keep in mind I only read a few replies about this with this google.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
