well if you are going to get a projection tv, it makes think that since you are going to need to control the ambient light in the area at least a little bit... why not go all the way & get a front projection system? perhaps the Sony VPL-HS51 with a nice nine foot screen (combined would cost less than that TV).

you will probably want your dvd player to at least be a progressive scan, but since that TV (& the projector I mentioned) has a digital input, perhaps look into a dvd player that has a digital output & can upsample to the various HD formats. One I know of off the top of my head is the samsung DVD-HD841.
Ok first of all i am new to TV's and Audio systems. That being said i am interested in spending a fairly large amount of money on a complete theatre system.
First for the price point and preformance wise is the Sony KDF 60XRB950 a good one?
Also will a Denon AVR-3805 which is 7.1 ch be compatible and work well with Aperion Intimus 5.1 system with 10-inch subwoofer speaker system which has a 5.1 ch. How do those items sound as far a preformance and compatibilty, and also are all speakers capatable with all recivers.
ok last question does a new dvd player make a preformance difference, because buying all this new stuff and having my maybe 1yr old dvd player that was purchased for only like 50 bucks seems strange, but if it doens make a difference why bother.
Thanks you SOOO much for your time and im sure it will help a lot,
