The only time I run into the Quadro is when the user is talking about CAD apps. Frankly these are very nice cards but time and time again we just pop in some 1050 to 1080 GPU and pocket the savings.
But hey, if you want an 800 dollar "Pro" GPU for reasons I can't guess, it should be fine as long as the Dell's PSU is up to the task.
That gets technical but I want to find a SINGLE RAIL PSU with 500 Watts minimum.
Why? http://www.nvidia.com/content/quadro/pdf/quadro-power-guidelines.pdf details the specs in detail but for power you never go with the minimums.
I have basically no computer knowledge or skill and need some input.
I have a Dell OptiPlex 9020 Core i7 4770 3.4 GHZ-8GB-1TB desk top that has a AMD Radeon HD 8570/Intel HD Graphics 4600 Graphics processor and a Custom build desktop that I don't know to much about except it has 8GB of storage and a NVIDIA 4000 graphics card.
Anyway the point of this is that I need to have a desktop that has a graphics card that is or close to as possible to a Nvidia P4000. Can I just buy the card and put it either of these machines and be all good, or are these noncompatible? If I had it my way I would just buy a new desktop, but that is not an option as long as these two machines are available.
Thanks for the help.
