Compatable motherboard replacment for Dell P3

Dec 27, 2004 10:32AM PST

Hi Folks Radish here
I have a Dell "Dimension" 2100 which has died from Corrosion(its 1 mth short of 3 yrs old) and I was hoping someone might be able to give me some hints on what motherboard may just slip in there to replace it. Pentium III is the board thats in there at the moment and all the other parts appear to be ok so I would like to use them to save cost. I would like to have a shot at rebuilding/repairing it myself then give it to my kids to play games and school work so I'm not looking for topline gear. Thanx in advance for any help

I have a similar computer. They use the intel board. Mine has the Cayman board with the i810 chipset. Almost any board with and this chipset should work for you. The processor is an intel socket 370 and uses pc133 sdram. Just be sure to verify that to make sure the new board is compatible.
