Compatable Ink Cartridge problems.....

I bought a set of "compatable" ink cartridges by mistake (Not reading ebay discription carefully enough.) I bought a full set, and started by replacing just one color. Immediately, the printer would not work. The printer utility show that there is ink in the cartridge but now no colors work. After sitting around with no printer for a couple of weeks (I'm an hour and a half away from anywhere you can actually buy the ink) I stuck all four colors in, thinking maybe that would work? Nope. The paper comes out with NOTHING on in, though the machine goes through the motions of printing. I have an epson C80 printer. The compatables are truly No name compatibles that were sold under the title and description of Epson Stylus C80 color ink cartridge. I have made sure the ink seals are open, reset the cartridges, turned the printer on and off. The printer believes it is working just fine!
