Compatability problem in Wndows Vista Home Premium

I recently downloaded Diablo 2, seems to play well, except one glitch. First startup of program, a dialogue box comes up, asking me to insert Cinematics Disk loaded singles program, without multiplayer or Cinematics), I cancel and reload game, and it plays well. Checking problem reports and solutions, the following problem with game comes up:
Your version of Microsoft Deprecated DLL Components isn't
compatible with this version of Windows.
Hoping some of the techs here has a feasible answer.
