comparing firefox 2.0 security to ie 7

I am not an expert when it comes to anything computers or software. I have used both browsers ie7 and firefox 2.0 for a few days and i find firefox more secure. everytime i have used ie 7, i run spyware doctor and it has already detected vx2.look2me and purity scan advertising trojans.I used firefox 2.0 and ran spyware doctor nothing is detected. and i visit the same websites with both browsers

I use both Firefox and IE7 and I don't get spyware, adware, or trojans at all.
