This doesn't help me, I would just like someone knowledgeable to look at the phones and tell me the better buy. They are both the same price.

Both are way more than an average smartphone.

2GB RAM is double what most folk have. And OctaCore? I get great performance on quad cores.

I see one has more pixels so it would be the slower of the two. Nod to the 1080 display.
