I have a Cerwin-Vega passive sub

not the model you cited, an older one. It has surely been adequate. I profess that I got it to play with just as I got a multi channel graphic equalizer & subsonic synthesizer - to play around with knowing my speakers were good for the day, but not terrific.

My main concern with music has actually been for a really pleasing, open sound - apparently neutral & accurate. The above mentioned things were pretty harmless folly. I've never quite figured out the best setting for a sub. What's as good as can be on one song may be boomy on the next.

Today, my A/V main setup has a sub about 4 times as expensive than the Cerwin-Vega & it still puzzles me. Some reviews rave over a few subs - which are much more expensive.

To cut to the chase, the Cerwin-Vega just can't logically be great or worth spending the bucks for when you already have a Sony in the same relative quality category.

Save your money for the next toy which fascinates you. I'm no qualified expert, just think I'm being logical.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
