Well, let me share this with you as to Gateway. When you get ready to buy, make sure to ask these questions:
1. If I need service, what will happen? Will I ship the system to you for service? Who will pay for the shipping? Or will an onsite technician come out with parts and fix it? Or will you (GATEWAY) ship me another laptop and then have ME swap out my hard drive and send MY laptop back to you thereby leaving me with a laptop that I know nothing about as to its history?
Anybody have some insight into which is the better notebook, the Compaq R3000Z or the Gateway 7422Z? They have similar specs, but my main reason for looking at the Gateway is the graphics card which is better than the Compaq (I guess, I really am a novice to buying these). I'm not a huge gamer but want this laptop to be a future proof as possible. It's mostly for home and some office use, with some light video editing thrown in.
