Wouldn't the tech or repair person check that with and Ohm meter?
As to the DC jack, same tech could use the Volt meter.

I recently changed the motherboard withing my compaq presario CQ61, the old one was burnt out, ( no power, charge light next to power indicator kept flashing). i opened it and found it a part of the motherboard had burn marks on it.
Well i finally ordered another motherboard online, it worked perfectly, booted to windows, then the laptop shut down unexpectedly, after this happened, the computer wouldnt turn on anymore, the charging jack light kept flickring (not flashing) (its suppose to be stable).
What could be the problem?
i was thinking it might be
a. The power button interface
b. Charge DC jack
im confused, i have no clue what it might be!!
