Compaq F700 Does Not Recognize C/d Rom

I Have Tried Regedit To Delete High And Low Filters And That Didn't Work!! Tried Scanning For New Hardware That Didn't Work!!
C/D Rom Shows In Bois In Boot Options But Doesn't Show In My Computer Or In Device Manager?? Can Someone Please Help Me??

Get a new drive, that one's shot. Does it even show up in the BIOS?

For me the acid test if the ODD is dead or some other hardware issue.
