Compact Megazoom

Guys, kindly recommend a good compact megazoom camera in the range of 200 - 300$.It shud be the fastest in that price range i.e there shud be minimum shutter lag.I was thinking to buy the Sony H-55.Also, i'd like to know,irrespective of pricing, which is the fastest compact megazoom? Cheers.
