compact dc with good video capacity

Greetings. I'd like to buy a compact digital camera with the following properties and hope to get some advice:
1) coming with a good video capacity (including sound), as good as possible.
2) light, as light as possible.
3) I don't care about other properties much (but I do want pictures to be of better quality than those by camcorders; that is why I want a compact dc). Price is not an issue.

Suggestions of any model number would be very much appreciated! =)

Good Video?

How about Adequate Video or OK video?

There is no compact digital camera that produces video that is better than a camcorder.

The video capabilities of a Digital Camera is pretty much bare bones.

Sound is generally poor.
They use low cost microphones with only basic AGC (automatic gain control).

The digital camera is designed to take still pictures, and video is just an afterthought.

The camcorder is designed to take video, and still pictures are an afterthought.

For best results, you need one of each.
