While trying to read the compact flash card, if you get a message that says something like "Image error", and you are using (Norton) Symantec anti virus software, there is a fix.
For a quick test, shut down the anti-virus software and then see if you can download the pictures.
Information is here:

Another thing to try:
Take the compact flash card to you local photo developing/printing store (such as WalMart), and ask the people there is they can read the card and copy it to a CD.

Hello, all! My problem is in my compactflash card. I have over 150 pictures that are viewable when I use my digital camera (via the lcd screen) but are not viewable/downloadable using either the USB cable, nor the card reader. A virus was found (and deleted) on the memory card, but the pictures are still not accessible through any means.
When I search for recovery software, there are so many, I was hoping that someone out there had an opinion that they would like to share as to what works, what doesn't, and what is worth the price (if any.) Any information would be appreciated.
