Command to automatically Syncronize

Sep 12, 2007 9:22AM PDT

I have an external hard drive which I use to make a daily backup. Now I have another external hard drive which I want to weekly syncronize with the daily backup.

Is there a command or any way to start "Tray Backup" automatically whenever I connect the external hard drive for the weekly backup?

"Command to start a program whenever external hardrive connects."

SYNCBACK not exactly what I need

Thanks for suggesting syncback. It seems to me syncback is a very nice and powerful program. Very similar to Tray Backup.

Yet, I have installed and tried Syncback, and I can't find the option.

Then script it?

You can schedule a task to run so often to see if the drive is attached and then SYNCBACK has a command line so all this can be scripted and scheduled.

Frankly I found it all too easy to just fire off SYNCBACK when I connected the drive.

I'm done.
