Command Prompt

Jul 7, 2007 8:03AM PDT

I have a problem (probably easy to solve) with my command prompt. When I go to use a command, instead of just displaying, "C:\", it displays, "C:\ Documents and Settings\Owner>, and when I try to use a command, such as "ipconfig, I get the message

'ipconfig' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file, then displays C:\ Documents and Settings\Owner>http://forums.cnet.com/5200-6142_102-0.html?forumID=5
Submit again. Thanks,

Im running XP SP2

typing this:

start>run>cmd

cd\

then hit enter. then try the ipconfig or whatever you need to go to. Also going to C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe can bring up a sys32 cmd prompt. hope this helps
