Forget the fancy pink faceplates, how about a Solar faceplate? Can we get Motorola or Samsung or someone to come out with a solar cellphone? Think of this.....a solar panel on the front or back of your cellphone, like a solar wristwatch. It absorbs from any lightsource; you can leave your phone on the table at the coffe shop and it will charge, you can leave your phone out while in study hall and it will charge, you can leave your phone on your desk at work and will charge, how about the reading light on the airplane, ever left for a flight with one bar left? Worse yet, you left the charger at home or back at the hotel and you either have to rent one from the hotel or buy one at the airport for $45.00; been there.
Am I crazy or am I on to something? I don't need an MP3 player and I don't need a camera. But if I'm going to be at some trade show or conference all day pushing one bar on the battery, it sure would be nice if the overhead florescent lights could juice my lifeline. Maybe the phone makers can team up with Casio and learn a thing or two about solar technology. Oh, but then they'd loose money in batteries and overpriced phone chargers, but think of what they'd do to the enviroment. Spread the word, I'm sure that I'm not alone. FCB, Chicago, IL
